NAVYA SINGHAI
Hey there! I'm Navya Singhai.

I’m a senior at the University of Michigan graduating in May with dual degrees in Movement Science and Sport Management. As a lifelong athlete, I’ve always been passionate about sports, and I’m excited to turn that passion into a career at the intersection of business, innovation, and human performance. My background blends research-based decision making with practical analytical thinking, allowing me to think strategically while solving complex problems creatively.
On campus, I’ve been involved in organizations like the Michigan Sport Business Conference (MSBC), Phi Epsilon Kappa (PEK) professional kinesiology fraternity, the Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Imaging Lab (MBIL), and Michigan Lacrosse. Through MSBC, I worked on partnerships with brands like Warner Bros. Discovery and Oak View Group, spearheaded DEI initiatives, and later became Chief People Officer, leading team culture and strategy. In PEK, I helped peers with academic counseling and career development as the Professional Development Chair, and gained experience in digital marketing and team communications on the Marketing committee. As an undergraduate researcher at MBIL, my research team studies shoulder pain using ultrasound and motion capture technology. As a student manager for the Men's Lacrosse Team for the past 4 years, I have contributed to two B1G Championships through assisting with team operations at practices and games.
Beyond campus, I’ve built a strong foundation of industry experience through internships across different sectors of sport business. Earlier in my career, I interned with Michigan Adaptive Sports and Fitness, managing social media marketing efforts for their programs and events, while creating a strategy to grow the organization’s presence on campus. At the same time, I shadowed athletic trainers at Foothill College, gaining hands-on experience in injury assessments, rehabilitation procedures, and sports therapy technology. These experiences deepened my understanding of athlete health and reinforced my passion for bridging performance, wellness, and business strategy.
At Wasserman the next summer, I worked on the Athlete Exchange team, supporting brand partnerships by connecting athletes with marketing and advertising opportunities. I collaborated with the business team on brand-athlete partnerships, assisted in social media performance analysis using Meta Business and CreatorIQ, and contributed to content creation for marketing campaigns.
My internship at GameChanger, a youth sports scorekeeping and streaming app, expanded my experience in digital advertising and business development. As an Ad Operations Intern, I managed campaign tracking, analyzed ad performance, and developed a project on engagement trends that I presented to clients. Additionally, I worked on GameChanger’s partnership with Little League to enhance Player Health and Safety initiatives. This project allowed me to combine my kinesiology background with business strategy, consulting athlete health experts to develop a mental and physical health content hub for youth athletes, parents, and coaches.
As I continue my journey, I’m eager to apply my skills and curiosity to projects that drive meaningful change in sports, wellness, and innovation. Whether through strategy, product development, or marketing, I thrive in dynamic environments that challenge me to think critically, solve problems creatively, and leave a lasting impact.
Personally, I love playing and watching all kinds of sports, traveling the world with my family and friends, exploring different cuisines and local eateries, experimenting with new recipes, and much more!
